This album convinces with a wonderfull dark, strong and melancholic sound without forgetting to implement stunning melodic parts who just stand for themself. This is dedication to music.
Favorite track: Äidin Laulu.
The Russian/Ukrainian doom outfit Kauan's sixth album - "Muistumia." The album's title means "reminiscences" and is a professionally re-recorded collection of the band's best material from their early years, plus the opening track "Unsoi," which is a newly composed song.
Played the first two albums & hated 'em (the "black metal" label should have been a clue) Anyway, the third record is much (MUCH) more to my liking. Discogs has assigned it a "post rock" label; that sounds about right. Beautiful, oft times melancholy, music - and the Finnish vocals only enhance the mood. I am very impressed.
